The book contains four articles by experts from Poland, Czech Republic, Slovakia and Hungary. Each of them presents a historical overview and a guide to good diacritic design practices in particular languages including examples of the most common design problems.

The Insect Project was initiated by Agnieszka Małecka & Zofia Oslislo who also wrote the part on Polish diacritics. The Czech part was covered by Filip Blažek, Slovak history was written by Palo Bálik and Robert Kravjanszki contributed with the Hungarian section.
