We are rendered speechless by the sudden passing of Michel Chanaud, the spiritus movens of 365typo and 52typo projects, the founder and director of étapes: magazine and Pyramyd editions, the largest publisher of design books in France, and the mastermind behind many other design-related projects.

Inspiring, brave and generous, critical when he did not see the potential, yet encouraging face to face to a spark of a unique idea and creativity. Always observing, always thinking and coming up with ideas beyond narrow horizons.

We lost a design guru, great visionary, humanist and, most of all, beloved friend. So many discussions were left unfinished and questions unanswered.

Rest in peace, Master.
